OUR SOLUTION

TRANSFORM SOIL HEALTH

Before: The soil is extremely compacted, rock hard, bone dry, poor nutrient availability, and brittle. Breaking it apart was like breaking a small boulder.

After: The soil breaks apart easily. The profile has structure, moisture, color, and an earthy smell – all signs of good nutrient availability and healthy soil.

HOW PLANTS RESPOND TO PRM:

Before - July 17, 2019

Inconsistent density, color, signs of heat stress.

After - September 20, 2019

Visibly more dense, consistent, and no signs of heat stress.

Control Corn (Silage)

Weed pressure, inconsistent height, density, and color.

PRM Corn (Silage)

No weeds, consistent height, density, and color.

OUR BIOLOGY

We tapped into biology’s power of exponential growth and applied it to the soil microbiome. Our unique blend of essential soil microbiology revitalizes the health of the soil to create more productive, efficient, and resilient agricultural operations. Our solution has proven to produce more, higher quality crops from alfalfa to zucchini, and everything in between. We increase the soil’s ability to cycle carbon and increase nutrient availability throughout the soil profile. Increased efficiencies from PRM are seen across the operation – from improving the tilth of the soil to cashing in on higher yields and quality at harvest.

TWO-STEP PROCESS

Applying PRM requires incubating a culture to maturity (similar to brewing beer, winemaking, or making sourdough bread), then applying the product to the field. We design and install the appropriate incubation and application systems on a per client basis to ensure the success of your program.

WHAT OUR SYSTEM LOOKS LIKE

SYSTEM COMPONENTS

PRM systems are designed on a per customer bases. System design is takes the preexisting physical, chemical, and biological conditions of the soil into consideration. Each system consists of a breeder tank and a dosing mechanism

1.) INCUBATION: BREEDER TANK

Creates an ideal environment for our biologicals to thrive. Our breeder tanks are designed to promote exponential replication rates for our biologicals.

2.) APPLICATION: DOSING MECHANISM

Delivers our product from the breeder tank to the field. We incorporate our design into the existing irrigation infrastructure to maximize efficiency.

WHAT'S THE SECRET SAUCE?

Partnering with PRM is an incredible value proposition. We’re able to produce substantial results in our first growing season because the importance of soil biology has largely been overlooked for nearly 100 years in most western agricultural practices. Our product consists of a unique blend of over 15 different species of microbes and dozens of enzymes and proteins. Here is an introduction to a few of our all-star microorganisms.

BACILLUS SUBTILUS

B. Subtilus is a Gram-positive, catalase-positive bacterium commonly found in the soil (and your intestines). B. Subtilis has the ability to form a tough, protective endospore, allowing the organism to tolerate extreme environmental conditions. B. Subtilis is a facultative bacteria, meaning it can produce energy in both an oxygen rich environment (through respiration) or an anaerobic environment (through fermentation), switching between the two as necessary for survival.

WHAT IT DOES

  • Increases phosphorus solubility, making insoluble phosphorus that is bound up in tight or compacted soil (symbiotic with Azo.)
  • Plays a role in opening up the soil, reducing compaction
  • Bacillus strains are being explored for use as natural fungicides. Benefits include reduced disease pressure, less use of biocides, and zero risk of harming pollinators.

AZOTOBACTER

Azotobacter (Azo.) is a free-living soil bacteria that is capable of fixing nitrogen (taking nitrogen out of the air and putting it into the ground). Azo. requires energy in the form of carbohydrates to perform fixate atmospheric nitrogen. Per microgram of glucose consumed, Azo. is capable of fixing over 10 micrograms of nitrogen. Azo. bacteria have an incredible span of enzymes at their disposal, the most important one being nitrogenase. In addition, Azo. increases the mobility of heavy metals and is used to in the bioremediation of soil. Much of our chemical savings are attributed to Azo.

WHAT IT DOES

  • Increases soil fertility
  • Stimulates plant growth
  • Forms a symbiotic relationship with Bacillus subtilus to increase phosphorus solubility
  • Plays a role in opening up the soil, reducing compaction
  • Azo. is headed towards bioremediation applications to rehabilitate soil contaminated with heavy metals and biocides that have shown to harm the health of human populations

ACTINOMYCETES

Actinobacteria are some of the most prevalent species in soil life. Actinomycetes (Act.) play an important role in the decomposition of organic matter (carbon cycling), such as cellulose and chitin. Act. replenishes the soil with a supply of nutrients and generates humus in the process. Antimicrobial properties are characteristic to Act. and they are commonly used as a source for pesticides and antibiotics.

WHAT IT DOES

  • Breaks down organic matter to return nutrients to the soil
  • Act. may play a role in strengthening the immune system of the plant

PSEUDOMONAS PUTIDA

Pseudomonas Putida (Pse.) is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped soil bacterium. Pse. demonstrates an extremely diverse metabolism, including the ability to degrade environmental pollutants such as hydrocarbons. This unique ability has put Pse. to use in bioremediation applications such as biodegrading oil. Pse. has been effective in dampening pathogens in plants and reduce the effects of diseases such as Pythium and Fusarium.

WHAT IT DOES

  • Can be used as a biological control for some diseases
  • Detoxifies soil by breaking down hydrocarbons
